◆What is JASC ?
The Japanese Association of Science Communication (JASC) is an association which functions as a platform for all people related to science communications.


◆JASC aims
The Japanese Association of Science Communication (JASC) promotes science communication to enhance science literacy of the whole society, and contributes to the realization of a society where the public can proactively be involved in issues surrounding science and technology.


◆JASC includes
• Science journalists,
• Science museum and science center staff,
• Academic researchers who study aspects of science communication,
• Scientists who communicate with the public,
• Public information officers for scientific institutions,
• Many others interested in these issues for science communication.



◇JASC Journal “Science Communication” – Call for papers
JASC invites proposals for papers involving science communication for publication in the JASC Journal.

The next JASC Conference,the 4th JASC Conference, will be held in December 2016. Check the conference website for other key dates. We take pleasure in inviting you to submit proposals for presentations at the 4th JASC Conference in 2016.

For example, workshops for developing tools for science communication, and study meetings on specific themes or issues in science communication.

“JASC commons” is the information archive on our web site. JASC members can use it to send messages and announcements, ask questions, start a debate, or record an event related to science communication. This content is accessible to the public.
